Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Shri Chirag Paswan chairs the Industry Roundtable Meet with industry leaders and micro entrepreneurs of food and allied sectors in Patna, Bihar on 3rd August 2024. Hon'ble Minister FPI spoke about the importance of food processing sector and how this sector can help to elevate the economic status of India. While mentioning the importance of Bihar as a State with one of the largest farmers inhabiting it , he said that Bihar can play a great role in food processing sector. Shri Paswan also urged that all states including Bihar should come forward and participate in the World Food India 2024, which is a flagship event of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and is being organised from September 19-22, 2024, in New Delhi.

Smt Anita Praveen, Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries inaugurated the 'Industry Interaction Meet' organised by ministry in association with Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) in Hyderabad on 5th July 2024. As a precursor to the 3rd edition of World Food India, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Shri Chirag Paswan and Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Railways, Shri Ravneet Singh, launched the website and mobile application for World Food India 2024.

Ministry of Food Processing Industries organized a Roundtable with Heads of Foreign Missions in India to discuss overseas participation in the World Food India (WFI) 2024, at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi. The interaction was co-chaired by Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Smt. Anita Praveen, and Secretary (ER), Ministry of External Affairs, Shri Damu Ravi. The roundtable witnessed participation of by Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Charge d' Affaires and other senior representatives from wide spectrum of 38 countries.

Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) along with National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli (NIFTEM-K), an Institute of National Importance (INI) under MoFPI organized a Startup Conclave in New Delhi on February 13-14, 2024. The event was aptly titled SUFALAM (Startup Forum for Aspiring Leaders and Mentors) as it gave a wonderful opportunity to promising startups in the food space to mingle with key leaders and mentors from across the country. The event was planned to bring together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and government officials to foster innovation, collaboration, and the growth of the startup ecosystem in the food processing sector. The event was packed with knowledge sessions, panel discussions, networking and pitching sessions along with an exhibition showcasing novel products from the startups. The event witnessed participation from over 250 industry stakeholders, startups, MSMEs, financial institutions, venture capitalists, and academia. Spanning two days, the event comprised of four knowledge sessions, two pitching sessions, networking sessions and an exhibition

Committee Meeting at Invest India on 24th January 2024. The primary focus of the meeting was to brief officials from Central Ministries and Departments on the next edition of World Food India 2024 to be organized from 19th-22nd September 2024. The meeting deliberated on the involvement and expectations from respective Ministries and Departments in the event and marked a continuation of a series of discussions aimed at informing stakeholders about the Ministry's action plan for World Food India 2024 and exploring potential areas of collaboration.
